Well Services North Africa

Introduction

Over the past five years, Axis has been providing multi-disciplinary well operations support to deliver various tasks to an asset in northern Africa. Projects involved various disciplines working together to provide Well Services, Completion and Intervention operations, including frac work for onshore planning and offshore execution. Under the initial contract, KPI’s were instigated to assist with focus of the required deliverables and Axis successfully delivered against all targets.

Axis not only provided a core dedicated team, but additional supervision on a switch on / switch off basis during peaks in well activity, often supplying the same team members who were familiar with the area and operations to ensure continuity and safer working conditions.‍

Workscope

To deliver this work cost efficiently whilst meeting technical objectives we utilised various members of our core team as and when required. This allowed us to provide engineering and supervision across the five year period whilst ensuring the correct level of experience was provided to the various demands dictated by the project.

By providing a multi-discipline team and tailoring experience requirements for each campaign, the combination resulted in highly successful operations for our client with increased production rates and cost savings realised thanks to workscopes being completed ahead of schedule.‍

Outcome‍

The project has been very successful with completion operations on two wells being planned and executed six days ahead of schedule. The frac project on three wells was also completed approximately 14 days ahead of schedule, all resulting in significant cost savings to our client.

Some of our team are still providing support to the project and we have received extremely positive feedback from our client due to the hard work and dedication by the team to meet and exceed the KPI’s and deliverables.
